As Thunderpaw’s feet crashed to the ground, as he ran after his mentor as they ran back to camp with there jaws jammed full of fresh kill. Dropping the food on the pile Firestar left his apprentice at his den before turning and taking off to talk to Sandstorm. “Sandstorm!” Firestars thundering call sounded through the cats ears. “Yes Firestar” she replied “Can you go and get Dawnpaw and you both come and meet me at my den” he screeched.
A few minutes later he heard a quiver on the door of the den and in stalked Dawnpaw with her head held low, Sandstorm followed. “Firestar what is it” Dawnpaw cried “Well….you have trained hard as an apprentice so you are going to become a warrior….run along now and if you could bring Bluepaw and redpaw with you” he growled carefully. Just before Firestar had moved his muscles sandstorms sweet yowl appeared behind him. “Firestar, I am grateful of your kindness, but you didn’t need to let her become a warrior but you did…when will the naming ceremony take place?” “Probably a few hours, I need to see…” Firestar’s voice trailed of as he heard a familiar Hiss, and the stern growl of Redpaw, as he slid into the den, with the shy Bluepaw bringing up the rear. “So Firestar what is it that’s important” Bluepaw’s cried. “Well Dawnpaw is becoming a warrior and you are too!” he shouted.
As they headed to the high rock Firestar spoke “I Firestar leader of Thunderclan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices who has trained hard for many moons to understand the ways of your noble code and I commend them to you as warrior in their turn.” as he finished he looked at the apprentices. They both replied then he spoke again. “By the powers of star clan I give you your warrior names: Dawnpaw from this moment on you will be known as Dawnstorm Starclan honours your bravery and spirit and we welcome you a full warrior of thunderclan!” he leaned his shoulder down and she liked it carefully before he spoke once more. “next up, you Bluepaw from this moment on you will be known as Bluetail star clan honours your courage and strength and we welcome you a full warrior of thunderclan, next up you Redpaw from this moment on you will be known as Redfur star clan honours your bravery and strength and we welcome you a full warrior of Thunderclan.” As the three warriors trailed back towards the cats that once trained them in peace and harmony, Firestar spoke in a thundering call. “In honour of our warrior ancestors and the warrior code, I would like the three new warriors to sit silently in vigil whilst we sleep.”
“Firestar quickly I think there’s a fire in clan territories we need to flee quickly before we all get burned to cinders like Rabbitfur did!” Dawnstorm’s squeak woke him up in a start. “Dawnstorm thank you now quickly you fetch the elders and nursery queens I’ll fetch the warriors and apprentices…now go run faster than you ever have before!” Firestar’s voice thundered down the rocky mound as he spoke once more “And let Starclan be with you” A few minutes later he saw dawnstorm followed by Redfur and Bluetail and all the other cats in the rear. “Quickly we all need to get to the high stones in rocket speed time, who knows when the fire will…just run for your lives!” “But Firestar what about the other clans!” Thunderpaw’s squeaking voice came from behind him. “We don’t have any time left to help anybody we only have a few hours left before we’ll get toasted in the fire just run you pathetic furball!” “But Firestar....if you’re not helping them then I am!” without looking back Thunderpaw ran through the woods. “Oh….no he’s heading toward windclan territory
“Huh…where am I” Thunderpaw screeched in terror as a valley of cats surrounded him. There teeth were gaping fangs erected ready to attack, but before they could do anything a fiery colored cat charged towards him. “I’m Orangefoot what are you doing in our territory… don’t fight him he’s from Thunderclan the cats who saved us….why are you here?” the orange cat wondered looking at him. “Well there’s a fire in the forest we must flee to the high stones, Thunderclan will probably be there by now seen as I’ve been looking for your camp for ages. Now you must tell your clan quickly go…Shadowclan will find out about the fire sooner or later so go now all of you!” he cried rushing towards the Highstones. Charging with no knowing where he was going he bashed straight into Firestar.
As the giant rocks came into view he spotted his clan waiting anxiously. “Will we be safe from the fire here? Gorsepaw and Snowpaws anxious whimpers were overwhelming. “Bluestar Starclan please keep our clan safe!” he whispered silently. As he turned to his clan (standing on the nearest stone he cried) “We will camp here till it is safe to return, the oldest and more experienced warriors will search each day till they see the fire is gone and report if there is any trouble.” Hearing mews of agreement he spoke again
“Firestar, Firestar wake up windclan have arrived!” Dawnstorms call awoke him up in a start. Retreating out of his den he looked forward to see Onestar looking at him. “Welcome my friends, my warriors and apprentices will show you to your dens, any sign of any Shadowclan warriors?” “No not since the battle against our clan’s last newleaf.” Onestar’s inquisitive voice replied. “Ok,” Firestar turned round and went past sandstorm and said “you, Brambleclaw and Thornclaw can patrol the border for the fire and report any news, now I must be going I need to arrange about hunting with Onestar.”He slouched off to where Onestar sat near an apprentice called Forestpaw throughout washing his ears. “Hi Onestar may I borrow you for a second?” Firestar questioned politely “Yeah sure, run along now Forestpaw, Barkclaw will be waiting!” Onestar cried as the lean apprentice scuttled through the bushes. “Now what was it you wanted,” he called licking his paw. “Well it’s about hunting, as your aware the fresh kill pile is running low so if we don’t hunt soon we’ll get starved and won’t have enough strength for battle!” he said sharply. “Well I suggest we sent out the strongest warriors to hunt across that patch of grass at the top of the ravine.” He replied calmly
Appearing a second later followed by Brackenfur, Stormtail, Featherfur and Gingerfoot who followed him through the bushes to where they would hunt for prey. “Are you sure there will be any prey around here?” Stormtail questioned his leader. “Yes there will at least be a couple of rabbits and a few dozen birds!”Firestar called
As the sky dawned and Firestar slowly awakened, he slouched slowly out of his den and went towards Hollytail and Leafpool’s den. “Oh hello Firestar” Hollytail called “Hello Hollytail, where’s Leafpool?” he questioned her carefully. “She’s treating Nightkit from white cough and don’t worry he’s much better now!” She mewed happily. Staring into the distance like a tiger he spoke. “I have to ask her if she can take on another medicine cat apprentice because we have Tiger paw who could take on the challenge see you later bye!” Slowly, he prowled towards the warriors den (he was just going to go out on patrol with a few warriors) “good morning my friends Rainbowpelt, Squirrleflight, Redfur lets go out on patrol this evening if you could eat now to keep up your strength that would be good.” Firestar mewed happily. Walking happily towards the nursery he though over why he was there, he was there to ask the queens if any of there kits were ready to be apprenticed. “Good morning, Sandfur, Whitewing are any of your kits 6 moons old yet” he questioned them politely. “Mine are…” whitetail called followed by Sandfurs call “ours too!”
As they all came out of the den Firestar cried
After they returned with no luck of returning to their old home, Firestar brought Onestar to the highest rock and spoke.” “As I am sure you are awhere, even windclan, thunderclan is getting very crowded at the moment as a result there is not much space left in camp.” Mews of agreement sounded around the clearing, before a sleek tortishell cat spoke. “I rainbowpelt speak before all of thunderclan, I have found land above highstones where well… we could make a new clan, if you choose my idea the clan will be called rainbowclan and I will be leader, although, it may seem our clans may be separate, we will fight together and will be two clans living 2 living together.” “Ok Rainbowpelt, you may travel to highstones now and take Dawnstorm and Thistlepelt with you and maybe a few of our apprentices Hollypaw, Grasspaw you two will join them.”
As the 4 cats slowly appeared through the cave entrance of mothermouth, they walked towards Firestar’s den to meet him. “Firestar, we are back!” Grasspaw cried. “With our new Rainbowclan leader” Hollypaw piped in. “well, Rainbowstar and your cats may travel to your new territory at dawn tomorrow, who will your deputy be?” he growled happily. “Well I have thought hard and it is most probably….Lionfur, he is a brave warrior so he is now chosen and I’m sure he’ll accept my offer.”Rainbowstar looked up at the sky and stared at the stars lost in her thoughts of mystery and wonder. What would it be like in Starclan she thought carefully before being taken out of her mind to Risingheart and Dawnstorm strolling towards her? “Hi leader…ha ha!”She dabbed her mother’s tail playfully. “Ha ha Dustpelt dared us to act like kits! And at the moment it’s working dabbing tails, pouncing, play fighting and oh….almost forgot stalking!” “That sounds like a good idea”Rainbowstar hissed sarcasticly before chasing the young warriors away so she could settle down again.
“Hey wake up Firestar, the fire has gone!” Heatherwhisker spoke with her apprentice mewing next to her “yeah, now we can keep training and go back home, how I wish the scent and the taste of mouse.” The young apprentice purred quietly staring at her leader with inquisitive eyes. “Yes we will set off home when Rainbowstar leaves”

Firestar was dreaming he dreamt that 7 apprentices and 4 warriors had gone off to start a new clan and then he heard Spottedleafs voice it said "all the clans are over populating So several cats will go from each clan and start 4 new clans they will be called Duskclan Dawnclan Noonclan and Dayclan." and as Fire star looked he saw cats from Shadowclan and Riverclan Join the Thundercllan cats and in the distance he thought he could see the skinny figures of Windclan cats- then he heard a friendly voice calling his name and he woke up ... "Firestar you lazy bag of bones wake up," it was Cinderpelt and lots of other cats were behind her. "what is it." groaned Firestar.It was a cat hidden who spoke but he recognised the voice at once "Sandstom come hear and tell me what is the matter."
"well," she began "are clan is over populating even though we have plenty of fresh kill some of the warriors are not getting fed."she paused at that point because a loud mumbling was coming from behind but it soon stopped when Firestar shot them a look "go on." he purred encouragingly.
"as i was saying some warriors are not getting fed and its very squshed in the apprentice den so we think some apprentices and a couple of warriors should go out and make a new clan far away."Sandstorm fineshed.
Firestar was about to say no when he remembed his dream was this what Spottedleaf had meant "ill think about it." was all he told the waiting cats "you can go now but Cinderpelt stay i wanted to talk to you."


"Can we go hunting rosepelt" mewed splash paw walking carefully and silently into the warriors den to se her mentor rosepelt lying on the floor of the den "ok splashpaw we leave at sunrise ok!"replied rosepelt rolling onto her back and then getting up and walking to the freshkill pile grabbing a mouse and beginds to eat it.
"Yay!"growled splashpaw bouncing up and down like a kit,"i'm never gonna become an apprentice at this rate we have never trained before" she continued walking upo to rosepelt and picking up a mouse you wanna share this pigeon frostpaw?" she asked her best friend emerging from the apprentice den and walking towards her. "Sure!" she barked as she grabbed a wing and began to munch it
"Yum.. who brought back this food.. this pigeon is so tender and sweet i thank starclan for the food we eat"
"hey why are you praying to starclan the cat who caught it has already thanked starclan for it's life and all so why are you doing it?" she asked frostpaw
"well i belive it's fair to the pigeon" frostpaw mewed then turned her back on splashpaw and began to munch.
"So err... how is yourr... training doinggg..." splashpaw squeked trying to change the subject.
"Err. it's ok" she mewed as if she was trying to keep her feelings to herself.
"it's my first time training with rosepelt and here she comes now see you later!"splashpaw announced proudly making her way towards rosepelt
"bye" frostpaw mewed snootily with a small pinch of jelusaly in her voice.
"so now here we are splashpaw firstly we need to sniff, what can you smell?" rosepelt mewd lifting up her nose to smell, "i smell mouse"
"well i smell pigeon" splashpaw anounced proudly looking up and seeing his prise in the tree.
"now splashpaw keep calm and gently climb the tree he is eating berries so he won' notice you" rosepelt gave spalshpaw some advice so splashpaw began to tackle the mountain of terror. Soon enough she hoisted herself onto the branch and began to stalk it and soon enough..... She pounced and caught the pigeon "I got it rosepelt i did it!" she cried happily i caught my first prey!
"yes well now i have spotted a mouse under that bush that pigeon was eating so it was an easy catch this will be harder" rosepelt whispered while splashpaw began to stalk and soon enough she caught the mouse finishing it off with a bite o the neck.
About an hour later they made their way back to camp
